SCROLL DOWN

Backstage is Roskilde Festival’s dedicated B2B universe, bringing together business, festival culture and community in a setting tailored to companies looking to nurture relationships in an engaging, informal and exclusive format.

Backstage consists of four products developed for professional stakeholders:

  • Backstage Village
  • Backstage Lounge
  • Backstage Camping
  • Add-ons

Read more about the four products below

Backstage Village: Where We Meet

At Backstage Village, conversations flow naturally with familiar faces while new encounters have the potential to grow into valuable connections. The atmosphere is relaxed, the energy vibrant and the community open.

When hunger strikes, choose between food trucks for a quick bite or Backstage Dining, where Restaurant Uformel curates a refined culinary experience.

The Backstage Bar, operated in collaboration with Vega, is set in the woodland as an oasis beneath the treetops, where spontaneous conversations unfold. You will also find a caviar and champagne bar offering a fresh and elegant alternative.

If you need a break, retreat to the coffee bar and settle into calmer surroundings.

Backstage Village includes cloakroom facilities and upgraded toilet amenities.

Backstage Lounge: Where We Connect

Backstage Lounge offers maximum comfort and an ideal setting for conversation, focus or a pause between concerts.

Lounge access includes complimentary drinks and snacks, as well as entry to a dedicated networking environment. In addition, you receive:

A dedicated contact person for planning and hosting your day

The opportunity to book talks with key members of Roskilde Festival’s leadership

Space for your own professional presentations

Themed tours with Roskilde Tours, for example behind the new Orange Stage or around the campsite

Backstage Lounge is a modest add-on that delivers significant added value.

Backstage Camping: Where We Stay

Backstage Camping is for those who want the full festival experience — without compromising on comfort and wellbeing.

Located just a 15-minute walk from the Orange Stage.

You’ll stay in a cotton tipi by Nordisk, complete with proper beds, duvets, furnishings, lighting, and electricity. Each morning, breakfast and freshly brewed coffee from Meyers are served, and guests enjoy access to hot showers every day.

Lounge areas with fire pits and relaxed seating provide the perfect setting for informal gatherings — before, during, and after a day at the festival site. In the Game Zone, you can challenge each other to classic lawn games.

New this year, we also offer a dedicated workspace with Wi-Fi, allowing you to take care of the essentials whenever needed.

A kiosk stocked with cold drinks, snacks, and festival essentials is exclusively available to Backstage Camping guests.

Inspiration for themes

Environmental sustainability

Each year, Roskilde Festival gathers more than 130,000 people, all of whom consume resources and impact the environment — as we do ourselves during the festival’s construction. We all share a responsibility to care for the climate, protect nature, and preserve biodiversity locally and globally. We especially address this by reducing our resource consumption and prioritising responsible sourcing. We apply circular principles to prevent resource waste by minimising waste generation and ensuring more and better recycling. Join our sustainability team as they explain what this means when we build Denmark's fourth-largest city, and take a tour to see examples around the festival site.

Social Sustainability

Roskilde Festival has a special responsibility to support youth and amplify young voices. With our scale comes an obligation and the potential to foster awareness, engagement, and change, which must be exercised responsibly. We are committed to shaping perspectives among young people on contemporary issues such as climate and sexuality, and we support youth initiatives throughout the year with our donations. Meet our social team to learn how this influences our activities and the layout of the festival site.

Artistic Sustainability

For us, artistic sustainability means driving change and development in the cultural sphere while promoting equal access to both creating and experiencing art.

Art provides a lens through which we can see what might otherwise go unnoticed. We have a role in strengthening art’s place in society, actively supporting emerging artists and making the festival a platform for new artistic encounters, formats, and experiments. Meet our art team to hear more about our artistic programme, and explore the festival site to experience it firsthand.
