Dog? Human? Dog-Human? Get drawn into a daring dance performance that blurs the borders of obedience and command!

A tennis ball flies through the air, bouncing before a dancer catches it in their mouth. On all fours, they rush toward you and throw the ball at your feet, eyes almost pleading: throw it again, please. Who is in control here?

Swedish dancer, performer, and choreographer Andreas Haglund invites you to surrender to the dance performance Feral Fantasies, encouraging reflection on what unfolds within as you both observe and are observed.

Feral Fantasies is a solo dance performance about obedience, desire, control, and lust. Andreas Haglund takes on iconic sexualized caricatures, shifting energetically between roles of dog and master, pet and human, obedient and dominant.

Through dance, they explore queer, bodily wildness that unsettles ideas of gender and sexuality. You are drawn into captivating movements between submission and control, in the space between human and animal, nature and culture.

Andreas Haglund is a freelance dancer, performer, and choreographer, educated at The Danish National School of Performing Arts. Their work explores the somatic and aesthetic intersections of queer experience and cultural conception of nature. Andreas Haglund works and lives in Copenhagen.

Feral Fantasies is co-produced by Dansehallerne, developed in residence at HAUT, MDT, and supported by the Danish Arts Foundation and the William Demant Foundation.
