Envision future societies through the lenses of migration, queerness, and spirituality

Step into the transformative installation Rehearsals of Belonging 2.0 and be part of the sanctuary that fosters an atmosphere of belonging and mindfulness where reflection and engagement spark social change.

For Roskilde Festival 2025, artist Bartek Arobal Kociemba—in collaboration with Mikkel Nielsen—created an immersive pavilion that blends art and activism. Again, at this year’s festival Rehearsals of Belonging 2.0 provides a safer space where festivalgoers can relax, regain strength, engage with new ideas, and reflect on their place in a multicultural society.

With its stunning blend of wood, textiles, and bioplastics, the space was envisioned and built specifically for the site, which is charatarized by lushness and trees encouraging calm contemplation. The motifs printed on textiles symbolize movement and transformation, inspired by migration and queerness, inviting you to rethink how societies evolve.

From guided sessions of queer meditation and sensory workshops to interactive performances, every experience within the pavilion invites to deeper connection. Each day,

Each day, the transition from day to evening is marked by an electronic bath of light created by Polish composer, producer, and performer Stefan Węgłowski.
