YOUNG MIKOPR

FRIDAY 3 JULY

A celebration of trap, reggaeton and Latin pop from Puerto Rican superstar

  • Friday 3 July

With roots in Puerto Rico’s vibrant music scene, Young Miko has long since established herself as a Latin American superstar. Both Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny have brought her on stage, and her irresistible blend of trap, reggaeton and Latin pop, with powerful messages about queer love, is well on its way to making her a major name on the global pop scene.

Her distinctive Latin take on trap music already made a big splash on her 2022 debut EP, Trap Kitty, which established her as a rising star on the Latin music scene. Things have moved quickly for Young Miko since then; in 2024, she released the successful debut album Att. and performed at the Coachella festival that same year.

Collaborations with superstars such as fellow Puerto Rican Bad Bunny and an invitation to tour with Billie Eilish have certainly earned her a massive fanbase, and Young Miko has managed to ride the wave of success by releasing her outstanding second album, Do Not Disturb, in 2025, which includes the massive hit “Likey Likey”. When her collaborator Bad Bunny delivered his spectacular Super Bowl half-time show in 2026, it was only natural that Young Miko was also invited on stage.

Young Miko is not, however, merely a leading figure in modern Puerto Rican music. She is also a champion of a more inclusive music culture, particularly when it comes to creating space for sexual minorities and giving a voice to queer artists. This is evident in her shows, which always offer a liberating celebration of trap, reggaeton and Latin rhythms, but which also showcase an honest and authentic artist with a close connection to her audience. There will finally be an opportunity to experience this on Danish soil when Young Miko visits Roskilde Festival this summer.
