Stay safe in the heat as the festival opens

26.06.2026The festival

Drink water regularly, apply sunscreen, seek out shade and find water stations in the app as Roskilde Festival opens in the heat on Saturday.

Saturday is set to be a very hot opening day at Roskilde Festival. Temperatures could reach around 34 degrees, and the heat and direct sunlight may make it especially challenging to arrive, set up your camp and move around the campsite during the day.

For those reasons, it is important to look after yourself and those around you from the very beginning of the festival.

Drink water regularly, even if you do not feel thirsty. Use sunscreen and seek shade whenever possible. If you are setting up your camp, it is also a good idea to take regular breaks throughout the day.

Keep an eye on your friends and act if anyone appears unwell, dizzy or is struggling in the heat.

Find water stations in the map

Free drinking water is available at several locations across the festival site.

Open the interactive map in the app to find the nearest water stations to make sure you always know where to refill your water bottle.

Select “Drinking Water” in the filter options to quickly find all water stations.

Get help if you feel unwell

If you or one of your friends feels unwell in the heat, move into the shade, drink water and contact the festival hosts or first aid volunteers.

One of the first aid stations is located in East, between Handicamp and Get A Place East.

We are monitoring the weather situation closely and will keep you updated here in the app and on the website if there are any new developments during the day.

Take care of yourself and each other, and have a great start to Roskilde Festival 2026.
