As the year draws to a close, a sense of calm is settling in. But before we put 2025 behind us, there is one thing we want to say: THANK YOU.
Thank you for a summer we will never forget. For the celebrations, the shared experiences and the moments that made 2025 something special – not only during the festival itself, but throughout the entire year.

Every time you buy a ticket to Roskilde Festival, volunteer or support our initiatives, you help make a difference. All profits from the festival are donated to causes that contribute to a better future for children and young people – both locally and globally.
One of these initiatives is Orange Donation, where an artist performing on the Orange Stage selects a donation recipient. In 2025, we partnered with Artigeardit to donate DKK 500,000 to The Danish Red Cross and The Palestine Red Crescent Society. The donation supports safe spaces for children in Gaza, where they can play, share a meal and experience a moment of normality in everyday life shaped by war.

At Roskilde Festival, the big, collective concert moments exist side by side with new discoveries. In 2025, we introduced a new format within our long-running work with emerging artists: Headline Flip, which premiered on 15 November at a sold-out Lille Vega.
Carlina de Place and Augusta Schackinger took on the role of headliners, while Pil appeared as a surprise support act. The format celebrates artists on the rise, and its first edition delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for.

Roskilde Festival 2025 was sold out, ambitious and exploratory. Several artists used their platform to highlight issues such as climate justice, human rights and the power of diversity. With more than 130,000 participants, 185 concerts, thought-provoking artworks and an activism programme rooted in both dialogue and action, the festival continues to create space for reflection as well as bold ideas.
This has always been part of Roskilde Festival. And it will continue to be. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the 27,000 volunteers, along with artists, partners and participants, who together make the festival possible. The countdown to Roskilde Festival 2026 has already begun. Next year will see the opening of a new and larger Orange Stage, setting the scene for concerts by artists including Gorillaz, The Cure, Zara Larsson, and Little Simz – alongside many more names still to be announced.
In fact, more than 100 artists have yet to be revealed, with the next announcements coming early in the new year. There is plenty to look forward to in 2026.
