“I Hear A String Quartet Play Everywhere I Go” is the aptly named title of one of her latest singles. In Eee Gee’s world, grand musical melodrama is always just around the corner, crystallising in songs that strike an almost perfect balance between intimate presence and cinematic moods.
With a combination of indie pop, disco, Americana, country and classic torch songs, Eee Gee creates a musical universe that will appeal to fans of artists like Lana Del Rey, and with her world-class voice, the Danish singer also has the ability to convey the drama of the songs in a truly captivating way.
Eee Gee already made a strong impression in 2022 with her debut album Winning, which was followed up the year after by She-Rex – a seamless masterpiece that received rave reviews and found its way onto several year-end lists of the best Danish albums. Over the course of these two releases, Eee Gee has managed to develop a sophisticated and melancholic sound, where familiar and relatable feelings of grief, confusion and heartbreak are lifted into a cinematic technicolor universe where everyone in the audience can feel like a star.
The combination of raw confessions and stylised drama makes Eee Gee's concerts captivating experiences that unite vulnerability and theatricality. We have previously witnessed her ability to deliver a spectacular show carried by powerful songs, rich arrangements and divine vocals at Roskilde Festival, where she last performed in 2023. At the end of spring, she will release her new album eeelluminagee, and with brand new material in her repertoire, she is once again ready to deliver top-class pop drama.
