There was a ripple of excitement across Denmark when hip hop legends Malk De Koijn reunited in 2024 to mark their 30th anniversary. 

Over the decades, Tue Track, Blæs Bukki and Geolo G have carved out a truly unique position in Danish music with releases such as Sneglzilla and Toback To The Fromtime. And when the EP Nummer 5 arrived last year, it was clear the group remain in absolute top form. Here, they still immerse reality in a heady mix of surreal wordplay, flashes of humour and lush productions that come together as irresistible tracks. 

Malk De Koijn’s inimitably playful approach to language has left a lasting mark on Danish hip hop, and they continue to inspire new generations to push the boundaries of what rap in Danish can be. It is no coincidence that their fanbase spans widely – from new cult favorites Smøgmænd to the king of Denmark. 

Live, Malk De Koijn remain an experience in their own right. With humour, confidence and a catalogue packed with iconic tracks, they draw the audience into their own parallel universe, Langestrand, where offbeat narratives and heavy beats merge. 

When the group last appeared at Roskilde Festival in 2012, the concert was hailed as one of the greatest Danish hip hop performances ever. Now they return to the Orange Stage with both classics and new material, ready to do it again.
