27.06.2026The festival

From foam cannons and giant slip 'n' slides to fake tattoos and wife-carrying races: We've rounded up some of the camp parties you simply can't miss.

Af Josefine Guldager Jepsen, frivillig i Roskilde Festivals Mediehus

Oh yes, here we go again! After a whole year of waiting, Roskilde Festival 2026 is finally here!

The tents are up, your first neighbours have moved in next door, and a full week of music, community and unforgettable moments lies ahead!

But some of the best experiences won't happen in front of the stages.

Every year, our Community Camping areas come alive with unique traditions, quirky competitions and camp parties you won't find anywhere else. Created by festivalgoers, for festivalgoers, these are some of the events you'll want to add to your schedule right now.

The whole festival at your fingertips

Every day during Roskilde Festival, you can dive into fresh interviews, guides, recommendations and stories on roskilde-festival.dk and in the app.

Discover your next favourite concert, meet the artists behind the music and get closer to everything happening on, behind and beyond the stages.

Roskilde's Biggest Water Party

Grab your swimwear and get your best moves ready.

Camp Splash is once again inviting festivalgoers to the ultimate water party, complete with a giant slip 'n' slide, fun competitions and inflatable rings in Settle'n Share. Expect soaked festivalgoers, plenty of laughs and great vibes all round.

Slip 'n' Slide Party: Sunday 28 June, 4.00 pm at P45, Settle'n Share.

Spikeball and Beach Party Vibes by the Lake

If you're dreaming of a beach party in the middle of the festival, the lake is the place to be.

Camp Brag and Badesøens Bar are hosting a spikeball tournament with cold drinks, great music and summer vibes. No need to know the rules beforehand – just bring your energy and join in.

Spikeball Tournament: Monday 29 June, 2.00–4.00 pm by the lake.

Ready, Set... Wife Carrying!

How fast can you carry another person across an obstacle course?

Find out at Wife Carrying 2026, where festivalgoers compete for glory, bragging rights and 100 beers for the winning team. Gender doesn't matter – only speed does.

Wife Carrying 2026: Monday 29 June, 2.00 pm (prize ceremony at 3.00 pm) in Settle'n Share.

Fake Tattoos and Tessa Bangers

Always fancied a tramp stamp or a pair of Tessa-inspired wings? Then head over to Clean Out Loud.

Ice Sjakalinas is bringing back its much-loved fake tattoo event, complete with temporary body art, Tessa blasting from the speakers and plenty of festival fun.

The Foam Party Returns

Some traditions are simply too good not to return. The Foam Party at Brandstationen is one of them.

Three foam cannons will transform Dream City into one giant foam-filled dancefloor. Bring your swimwear, your sunglasses and get ready to dance.

Foam Party: Monday 29 June, 4.00 pm at Brandstationen, Dream City.

Kaffedak at Klubhuset

Coffee in your cup. Music in your body.

Camp Klubhuset invites you to Kaffedak – a morning party with coffee, ginger shots and music guaranteed to put a smile on your face. It's all about community, good energy and dancing your way into the day.

Perfect if you want to kick off your festival morning with something warm in your hands and a dancefloor under your feet.

Kaffedak: Wednesday 1 July, 10.00 am at Camp Klubhuset, Dream City.

The Dream City Naked Run

Every summer, people ask the same question: "Did you see the Naked Run?"

Dream City's most legendary tradition is back as 30 brave participants race through the streets of Dream City wearing nothing but their courage. Expect cheering crowds, plenty of laughter and the chance to win a ticket to Roskilde Festival 2027.

Dream City Naked Run: Thursday 2 July, 1.30 pm in Dream City (race starts at 2.00 pm).

Football Shirt Friday

Put on your favourite football shirt and head over to Camp Klimabold in Common Ground. Football Shirt Friday combines festival fun with a great cause, raising awareness and support for children with cancer.

Expect kickabouts, free Maté Maté and plenty of football chat across club colours.

Football Shirt Friday: Friday 3 July, 1.00–5.00 pm at Camp Klimabold, Common Ground.

Remember to press pause

One of the best things about Roskilde Festival is that you set the pace. Some days call for glitter, foam and dancing until your legs give in. Others are perfect for slowing down, finding a spot in the shade and recharging before your next adventure.

Across the festival site, you'll find quiet areas, green spaces and places where the pace is a little gentler. Look for the Pause icon on the festival map in the app to find spots where you can take a breather and recharge whenever you need it.
